Silent Group Meditation Class, formerly known as Team Meditation and Mindercise, is a once-per-month group meditation practice that takes place at Living Stress Free Inc in Rochester, New York. It is open to newbies and includes complete LSF Meditation Instruction. No prior knowledge of meditation is necessary. Anyone who has already learned LSF Meditation can deepen their experience through the energy of meditating in a group and the knowledge gained from the teachings and group discussion.
We practice sitting meditation, walking meditation, music-sound meditation, and additional meditation techniques during each three-month session. The format is guided silent meditation. Q&A and discussion will end each class. At LSF, we feel strongly that silence is necessary for stress reduction and becoming familiar with the core awareness that exists within each person.
LSF Meditation is a simple technique that does not require sustained concentration. Anyone can practice this form of nondirective meditation. It reduces stress but also has the ability to promote change and advance personal growth. Our monthly group meditation keeps us in touch with ourselves, each other, and our overall intention for health, happiness, and fulfillment in all areas of life. It also promotes a sense of community with shared experiences, caring support and a chance to make new friendships.
